Born March 29, 1928, in Franklin County, he was a son of the late Amos E. and Margaret L. Besore Martin.
The Rev. Martin was a retired minister and bishop in the Mennonite Church. He was also a retired carpenter.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Blanche Landis Martin; three sons, Vincent R. of Chambersburg, Eric L. of Shippensburg and Curtis L. of Greenville, S.C.; two daughters, Christine A. Diller of Doylesburg and Susan E. Funk of Chambersburg; a brother, Donald B. Martin of Chambersburg; a sister, Evelyn L. Crider of Shippensburg; 19 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Bryan K. Martin, who died in 1984; and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Rowe Mennonite Church, Shippensburg, with Bishops Luke Martin and Allen Martin officiating, along with the Rev. John Horst. Burial will be in Rowe Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, 112 W. King St., Shippensburg.
The family requests no flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
