Forrest Wolf Obituary

Forrest N. "Wolfie" Wolf, 74, of Mechanicsburg, died Thursday March 6, 2008, at his home after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born July 3, 1933 in Dillsburg, the son of the late Roy and Emma Smith Wolf, he was a self-employed carpenter, an avid fly fisherman and a member of Yellow Breeches Angler's Association. He enjoyed working with his hands, especially woodworking, gardening and growing his flowers.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean conflict from 1952-1955.

Surviving is his wife of 41 years, Theetta P. Wolf; a son, Lenny Wolf, Interlachin, Fla.; two grandsons, Lenny Wolf Jr. of Carlisle and Matthew Wolf of Interlachin; a granddaughter, Jessica Wolf of Interlachin; a great-grandson, Derekk Wolf of Dillsburg; two brothers, George Wolf of Dillsburg and Lewis Wolf of Carlisle; two sisters, Loretta Hockenberry of Dillsburg and Alice Yoder of Franklintown; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Francis Wolf; a sister, Daisy Ohrum; and a grandson, Daniel Wolf.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Grace United Methodist Church, 45 S. West St., Carlisle, with Pastor Edward D'Agostino officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Thursday in the church.

Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Carlisle, is handling the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Central PA, 98 S. Enola Drive, P.O. Box 266, Enola, PA 17025.
