Janet Ann Wolf

Janet Wolf, aged 91, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Crestwood Assisted Living. Born on October 18, 1934, in Saginaw County, Michigan, Janet was the beloved daughter of Leonard H. and Janet E. (Robertson) Zeilinger. She was the younger sister to her cherished brother, Gerald who died in 2016.

Janet was a proud graduate of Saginaw Arthur Hill High School, class of 1952. She pursued higher education at Alma College, earning her bachelor's degree in 1956, and later obtained her master's degree from Western Michigan University in 1969.

Janet's career in education spanned 30 years at Muskegon Heights Public Schools, where she dedicated her life to nurturing young minds. She served as principal at Central for 8 years and spent 22 years at Edgewood, retiring in 1986.

Janet was first married to Donald Owen Soli on August 15, 1958, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Muskegon. After his passing in 1970, she found love again with Raymond Edward Wolf, whom she married on April 13, 1977, in Candler, North Carolina. Ray passed away in 2002.

In her retirement, Janet devoted her life to her faith, serving the Lord with dedication and love. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and commitment to education and faith.

She is survived by nieces and nephews, Vickie (Daryl) Nichols of Wolverine, Leonard (Marguerite) Zeilinger of Perth, Australia, Randall (Cindy) Zeilinger of Riverdale, Kevin (Yvonne) Zeilinger of Tampa, Florida, Heidi (Bruce) Graham of Ithaca, Lori (Alan) Dunevant of Shepherd, and Mark (Betty) Zeilinger of Rockford.

A service celebrating Janet's life be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Mt. Pleasant at a time and date to be announced.
