Anthony Earl Tryon, known to most as Tony, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026, at MyMichigan Medical Center in Alma. Born on May 28, 1953, in Gratiot County, Tony was the last of four children born to Alton Leon and Anna Belle (Saladine) Tryon. He was welcomed into the home by his elder siblings, James, Pam 'Penny', and Diane.

Tony was a 1971 graduate of St. Louis High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, as well as in the National Guard. His first marriage was blessed with one son, Robert Tveter. He later married Michele Lynn Stowell on April 15, 1978, in Isabella County, and together they had two children, Amanda and Jason.

Tony was employed by Delfield for 44 years, retiring in 2017. Some of his favorite pastimes included spending time outdoors, hunting, bowling, and watching television, particularly westerns and war movies. He loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren.

Tony leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Michelle; children, Robb (Lori) Tveter of Snohomish, WA, Amanda (Larry) Shepard of Alma, and Jason Tryon of Alma; four grandchildren, Kylie, Ryan, Leeland, and Imogynn; siblings, James (Joyce) Tryon of Shepherd, Penny (Jack) Dougherty of St. Louis, and Diane (Jack) Newson of St. Louis; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter in-law, Kammie Bowers-Tryon.
