Born March 30, 1946, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Guy F. Jr. and Margaret (Heidler) Batchelor.
A graduate of Greenbriar Military Academy in West Virginia, Mt. Batchelor received his bachelor's degree at Shippensburg University and his master's degree in library science at the University of Pittsburgh. He was employed by the Dauphin County Assistance Office.
He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Carlisle.
Mr. Batchelor is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary S. (Tegzes) Batchelor; and three sons, Guy F. Batchelor IV, George F. Batchelor and Andrew L. Batchelor, all of Carlisle.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Patrick Catholic Church on Marsh Drive, Carlisle, with the Rev. William Walterseid as celebrant. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. Monday until time of services in the church.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of the arrangements.
