When I first heard of her passing. I was numb. I felt that I had slowly been losing her over the past few years. I guess I was feeling glad that she was no longer suffering. Then, I began to recall how she lived her life. She loved conversation and making others laugh, so much so, that she relearned how to speak after her brain surgery. Helen Piszczek was more to me than just an Aunt. She was my Godmother, the mother of one of my best lifelong friends, my dad's sister. She will forever be etched into my heart as someone whose strong love for me was always evident. I was pleased to know she loved my Marty, just as much. Now, the numbness is gone and I am filled with a deep sorrow. Believe it or not, that is what I want to feel. It seems more fitting than my initial numbness. May the good Lord bless and keep her until we meet again. I pray that he lifts us all up in this time of sorrow to celebrate her life. Love the people God gave you, because one day he will want them back.

Mom Piszczek stepped in as a surrogate when I lost mine. A woman with such a huge heart & love for all. When younger & calling for Julie, you always chatted with Mrs. P for a good half hour before Julie came on the line. I sometimes got more scoop from her than Julie. I will miss sending her cards & seeing her beautiful face & catching up on Christmas Eve. You are no longer suffering & that will give me peace. I hope it does Julie & the family as well. I know there are no words to take away the sadness & hope time will help close the hole in your hearts. May happy memories get us through. We are blessed for the pain from the Love of Mom Piszczek. Sending all strength, prayers & much love. xoxo

Our deepest heartfelt sympathy to Joe and Judy Poterek and family. She was well loved and led a prayerful life. May God take her home to where we all hope to be at our journey's end. She lived a life full of love and prayer as evidenced in her obit.

Helen was a loving wife and mother. We have been friends with her and Lenny for many years. She always had a smile on her face and loved her family.
We were saddened to hear of her passing and hope that she rests in God's peace. She certainly deserves it.
Helen was a lovely lady whom we were proud to call our friend, even though our visits were few and far between.
It was great knowing you, Helen and may we know that you and Lenny are smiling at each other.
Tom and Julieann, We extend our sincerest sympathy to you and your family. Your Mom
was so devoted to all of you.
We love you, Helen.
