Lois Rabenstein Obituary

Lois Althea Rabenstein, 83, of Chapel Pointe at Carlisle, formerly of Altoona, died May 25, 2006, in Chapel Pointe at Carlisle. Born Nov. 26, 1922, in Altoona, she was a daughter of the late George Albert and Elizabeth Sybilla Deily Schuler and the widow of John E. Rabenstein.

She was a former employee of Schwarzen Bach-Huber Silk Mill in Altoona. She was also very active in child evangelism in the Altoona area.

She is survived by two sons, John E. Rabenstein Jr. of Carlisle and Kenneth Rabenstein and his wife Shirley of Dover; a sister, Letitia Bailey and her husband, Jack S. of Altoona; four grandchildren, John K. Rabenstein of East Berlin, Pa., Stephanie Gray of Ontario, Canada, Janice Myers of Germantown, Md., and Pamela Starr of Houston, Texas; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 8, in Henry Chapel at Chapel Pointe at Carlisle, 770 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Leon Young officiating. Burial was held at LeTort Cemetery, Carlisle.
