Naomi Riddle Obituary

Born Sept. 27, 1905, in Mt. Joy, she was a daughter of the late Amos and Adda (Gish) Wolgemuth.

Mrs. Riddle was the widow of Raymond H. Riddle Sr., who died March 2, 1994.

She was involved with missionary endeavors throughout her early life. She was a member of the Hanover Brethren in Christ Church, where she taught Sunday school. Mrs. Riddle was a former member of the Morning Hour Chapel in East Berlin, where she also taught Sunday school and Bible school. She was involved in the chapel at Messiah Village, participating in both the prayer group and the Bible study. She also had a passion for writing poetry.

Mrs. Riddle is survived by two sons, Raymond H. Riddle Jr. of Abbottstown and Barry E. Riddle of Hanover; two daughters, Nancy J. Warner of Hanover and Judy Strait of Harrisonville; a granddaughter, Pamela Karsteter, who was her primary caregiver; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Homer Wolgemuth; five sisters, Mary Heise, Rhoda Haas, Esther Goodling, Lois Lady and Sarah Wolgemuth; and a grandson, Jeffrey Warner.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Messiah Village, 100 Mt. Allen Drive, Mechanicsburg, with the Rev. Ronald Burgard officiating.

Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until time of services at Messiah Village. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Garber's Mennonite Cemetery, Menges Mills.

Wetzel Funeral Home, Hanover, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Endowment Fund at Messiah Village, 100 Mt. Allen Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 or to the Brethren In Christ World Mission, P.O. Box 390 Grantham, PA 17027.
