Paul Deihl Obituary
Paul C. Deihll, 70, of Carlisle, passed away Friday, April 27, 2007, at his home. He was born Tuesday, Sept. 1, 1936, in Carlisle, a son of the late John R. and Sarah M. (Hollenbaugh) Deihl.
Paul attended Carlisle High School and was a 1961 graduate of the Harrisburg Barber's Academy. He retired from Raudabaugh's Barber Shop in Carlisle after 30 years of service. Paul had also co-owned and operated Deihl and Jumper Barber Shop for nearly 10 years. He was a member of the West Hill United Methodist Church, a life member of West Pennsboro Township Fire Co. and a former member of the Plainfield Lions Club. 
Paul enjoyed the outdoors and made trips to Canada for 25 years where he enjoyed fishing. 
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Faith Griffie, and four brothers, Lester, Jacob, Kenneth and Wilmer Deihl.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Loretta J. (Rickabaugh) Deihl; one son, Michael A. Deihl (and his wife, Kay) of Newville; his daughter, Vicki L. Griffie (and her husband, Thomas) of Newville; one sister, Mary Bear of Carlisle; his grandchildren, Carissa Roberts, Brandon Griffie, Darin Griffie, Laura Deihl and Sarah Deihl; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m.Tuesday, May 1, 2007, in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home,630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Iva L. O'Brien officiating. Burial will be in Upper Frankford Brick Church Cemetery, Carlisle. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
