Robert Frantz Obituary

Robert H. "Bob" Frantz, 78, of Cooke Township, Newville, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center. He went home to be with the Lord, and will be missed by his loving wife, daughter, sons and grandchildren.

Born on Jan. 1, 1930, Bob was the first son of the late Ralph E. and Marguerite Houston Frantz.

Bob was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, serving on the USS Philippine as a pilot, and retired from AMP Inc. as a product design engineer with more than 50 Patents to his credit.

He was a member of the Mt. Holly Springs United Methodist Church. Bob was also an avid outdoorsman, a member of the National Wildlife Turkey Federation and the N.R.A.

He is survived by his loving wife, June E. Lutz Frantz; his daughter, Holly L. DiGiovanni of Carlisle; two sons, Thomas E. Hunt of Mt. Holly Springs and Curtis M. Hunt of Carlisle; five grandchildren, Luke H., Carlie and Gabrielle DiGiovanni, Thomas E. Hunt Jr. and Crystal Hunt; two brothers, Michael (and his wife, Janet) Frantz of Newville and Richard (and his wife, Mary) Frantz of Connecticut; and his sister and her husband, Margaret and Dale Sherrif of Carlisle.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, in Mt. Holly Springs UM Church, 202 W. Butler St., Mt.Holly Springs, with the Rev. Lisa K. Klinger officiating. Interment will be private. There will be no viewing. Family will receive friends following the memorial service.

Memorial contributions may be made to his church, 202 W. Butler St., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065.

Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home and Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, 717-486-3433.
