Roger John Persik, 69, of Carlisle, passed away Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008 at home.
Born May 5, 1939, in Kenosha, Wis., to the late Raymond and Jean Persik, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, a Realtor for George L. Ebener Associates, and formerly worked for the Woolworth Corp. for 40 years.
He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, St. Patrick's Knights of Columbus Council 4057, Carlisle, AARP, the National Association of Realtors and VFW Post 477, Carlisle.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn A. Persik; a son, Raymond Persik; four daughters, Christine Maas, Cathy Persik, Sandy Golder and Debra Persik; a stepson, William Ackley; a stepdaughter, Gail Nay; two step-grandchildren, Lexilynn Ackley and Dalton Carter Ackley; and a sister, Marilyn Seidle.
Mass of Christian burial will be Friday at 10 a.m. at his church, 87 Marsh Drive, Carlisle, with the Rev. Andrew J. Fontanella officiating. Viewing will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs. Interment will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsburg, with military honors provided by the Cumberland County Honor Guard.
