March 12, 1942 - February 9, 2026

CARLISLE - Ronald E. Statler, 83, of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle. He was born on March 12, 1942, in Chambersburg and was a son of the late Harold C. Statler Sr. and Mabel L. (Haupt) Statler. He was the widower of Paulette C. Statler, who passed away on April 23, 2023.

Ronald graduated from Bedford High School in 1960. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1968 and was sent to serve in Vietnam. After he got out of the Army he worked as a purchasing agent with Kinney Shoe Corporation until the factory closed down.

He is survived by two sons, Gregory E. Statler of Carlisle, and Christopher L. (wife Lora) Statler of Gaithersburg, MD; three grandchildren, Nicholas Statler, Chloie Statler, and Waylon Statler; one brother Harold Statler Jr.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Ron was preceded in death by one brother Terry Statler.

Burial will be held at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, 1921 Ritner Highway, Carlisle, on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 2 p.m. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle is handling the arrangements.
