Candace Statler Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Candace Barbara Statler.
To the world she was just another face or just Candy, but to us she was the foundation of our family, the true glue which held all of us together as one.
Candace, who went by Candy, was born August 8th, 1949 to her parents Dorthy and Gerald Reynolds. She met the love of her life, Charles Statler, in the year of 1984, then married him May 26, 1994. She had the privilege of being a mother to four children; Jennifer Billman (Mathew), Meredith Bacon (Ronny), David Kay (Wendy), and Gerald Kay. She succeeded in motherhood but truly embraced becoming a grandmother in 1991 and loved her grandchildren unconditionally; Kelly Brooks (Lee), Travis Wells (Rachel), Calsey Whitt, Mathew Sheldon, Jared Kay, and Camron Kay. Candy soon became a great grandmother in 2011 which filled her heart with even more joy and love; Alexis Higgins, Maddison Higgins, Allison Madalinski, Natalee Brooks, Trinity Wells, and Trenton Baker.
Candy was devout Christian who accepted Jesus fully into her heart in 2003. She went to church regularly where she shared her love of Christ with everyone. She enjoyed her daily morning cup of coffee, and you'd know when she was on her way for it by the sound of her slippers against the floor. She enjoyed being out in nature whether fishing or just relaxing in some shade and having a little chat about whatever came across her mind. She was a great chef in the kitchen but her desserts were always the best from her chocolate cakes to her no bake cookies.
In the early morning of December 20, 2025, Candy took her last breath on earth. Her soul gained its wings, she joined hands with her late husband, and entered through Heaven's gates. Although her passing will forever leave an emptiness in all of our hearts, we as a family are happy to know she and her beloved husband, Charlie, are once again together at peace.
