William L. Fraker, 63, of Newville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill.
He was born May 26, 1946, in Carlisle to his parents the late William A. Fraker and Flora A. Downes Fraker of Carlisle. He was retired from Frog and Switch Manufacturers of Carlisle where he worked for 35 years.
He was a board member of the Steel Workers of America Union 4744 Carlisle Chapter. He was a member of the Centerville Lutheran Church, Newville. Among his hobbies he was an avid bowler involved in many leagues as well as a reading buff on the Civil War. He was also a collector of NASCAR Memorabilia.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughters Deanna R. Salisbury and her husband James of Gardners, Pa., and Jenni R. Fraker of Carlisle; his stepson, Curtis E. Bear and his wife Margaret of Newburg; three grandchildren, Cody Fraker and Alanna and Aleasha Salisbury. Also surviving are two brothers, James Fraker and his wife Debbie of Carlisle and Carl Fraker and his wife Janice of Texas; three sisters Phyllis Minnich and her husband Bill of Mechanicsburg, Diane Harrold and her husband Dennis of Carlisle, and Stella Smith of Carlisle; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 3 p.m. in the Centerville Lutheran Church, 1874 Walnut Bottom Rd., Newville, Pa., with the Rev. Robert Knight officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. in the church prior to the services. Interment will follow the Memorial Services in the Centerville Memorial Park, Newville, Pa.
