Felipe Quesada Obituary

Felipe M. Quesada, 78, of West Tansill, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at Landsun Homes.
There will be no visitation, cremation will take place.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, February 27, 2014, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Stephanie Harmon officiating.
Carlsbad Veterans Honor Guard will provide military honors.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Felipe M. Quesada was born August 23, 1935, in Presidio, Texas, to Luis and Jesusita (Morales) Quesada. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958 as military police at the Panama Canal. Felipe worked in the mines in Gilman, Colorado, before moving to Carlsbad in 1978 where he then worked for IMCC. He worked in the potash mines until retiring in 1991. Felipe was an avid Denver Bronco fan and enjoyed gardening, but most of all he loved spending time with his granddaughters and sitting under his pecan trees. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers and three sisters.
Survivors are children: Felipe Quesada and wife, Juanita of Visilia, California, Gloria Quesada of Albuquerque, NM, Juan Quesada of Albuquerque, NM, Yolanda Quesada of Hanford, California, Ismael Rendon of Bakersfield, California, Karen Carrasco and husband, Edward of Lubbock, Texas, Casey Quesada of Seminole, Florida, Luisa Quesada and Miguel Galindo of Carlsbad, NM, Benjamin Quesada and wife, Barbara of Osan Air Base, South Korea, Joseph Quesada and Jessica Mendoza of Carlsbad, N.M.; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings: Luciano Quesada and wife, Kathy of Milwaukee, Wisc., Frances Gutierrez and husband, Albian of El Paso, Texas, Dominga Quesada of San Bernadino, Calif., Eva Garcia and husband, Tony of Artesia, N.M., Albaro Quesada and wife, Maria of El Paso, Texas Josie Hickman and Luis Munoz of Carlsbad, N.M., Juanita Davis of Colorado Spring, Colo., and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Felipe Quesada, Juan Quesada, Ismael Rendon, Casey Quesada, Benjamin Quesada and Joseph Quesada.

Lamento mucho la perdida de su familiar.
¡Parece tan injusto que la muerte tenga el poder de arrebatarnos a un ser querido! Y cuando sucede, la idea de que nunca más podremos hablar y reír con él ni abrazarlo, puede resultar casi insoportable. Ese dolor no desaparece necesariamente porque nos digan que la persona querida está en el cielo.

No obstante, la Biblia da una esperanza muy diferente. En Hechos 24:15 las Escrituras muestran que en un futuro cercano será posible volver a estar junto a los seres queridos que han muerto, puesto que dice que "va a haber resurrección", pero no en un cielo desconocido, sino aquí mismo en la Tierra, en condiciones pacíficas y justas. Y en aquel entonces los seres humanos podrán disfrutar de salud perfecta, y nunca tendrán que volver a morir.
