Grace Bergsma

BERGSMA, nee Kampen, Grietje (Grace) October 17, 1932 - June 20, 2014 The family of Grace Bergsma sadly announces her passing on June 21, 2014. She passed peacefully at her home in Campbell River with husband George by her side. Grace is survived by her husband George, her brothers Leo and Harm in Holland, her children David (Cathy), Joanna (Paolo), Mark, Alisa (Rick), Dan (Sandy), Audrey (Lloyd) Jim (Laura), Kurt (Lisa), Margaret (Derek) and Mike (Brenda) and her large extended family both in Canada and Holland. Grace lived her life caring for others. She was always willing to lend a hand to anyone that needed it. She loved to knit and quilt, there are many examples of her beautiful work around the town and indeed the world. She was well known to crafters after having owned the Yarn Barn some years ago. She was a long time member of TOPS, serving terms on the executive and making many good friends there. The family would like to thank all the friends and family that helped make her last few months enjoyable. There are many people that helped but we would like to send a special thank you to granddaughters Kristy and Sonja as well as Doctor James Grace. There will be a celebration of life on July 15th at the Eagles from 1:00pm - 4:00pm to say goodbye to this amazing woman. Please join the family for some reminiscing and light snacks.
