Juan Cruz Ortiz Obituary
Juan Cruz Ortiz was born in Downey, California on August 12, 1921 to Pedro and Juana (Cruz) Ortiz.
He married Antonia Rojas Ortiz on December 6, 1943 in Valparaiso, Zacatecas, Mexico and made a living working on a produce farm.
Juan was a member of San Jose Catholic Church, loved spending time with his family and in his spare time enjoyed playing the saxophone.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; son, Everardo "Juanito" Ortiz; daughter, Elisa Ortiz and sister, Angela Ortiz.
Juan is survived by daughters: Nora Avina, Elva Ortiz, Maria Estella Ortiz, Maria Olga Zavala, Maria Lupe Bueno, Tere Ortiz, Ofelia Avina, Juana Lopez and Sylvia Rojo; brother, Concepsion Ortiz; 50 grandchildren and over 125 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ernesto Lopez, Michael Avina, Eduardo Bueno, Ignacio Lopez, Cosme Avina and Juan Manuel Silos.
