Logan Collins Obituary

Logan Grant Collins, 12, was called home by his Father Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009. He was born Aug. 5, 1997.
He loved playing basketball, soccer and baseball. His favorite thing of all was his Guitar Hero and his assortment of other electronic games. He was involved with Boy Scout Troop 129 and loved hiking, camping and all the great things he learned by being a scout. He was also involved in E2 and LAMS.
Logan was an avid reader and really loved books, magazines and anything he could get his hands on. He was the happiest young man you could meet; a true shining light of God's love.
He is survived by his mother, Tonya; father, Floyd; sisters: Jessica, Sophia and Taylor; grandparents, Delbert and Suzie of Los Alamos; grandmother, Lynn Collins of Carlsbad; plus aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him incredibly. He is also survived by his many friends and a community who was so obviously touched by Logan.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at LAMS. Following the memorial service will be a private burial for the family. There is a fund in Logan's name at LANB.

Logan was our nephew. My first memories are from the time he was in his momma's tummy. He would come with his family to Carlsbad to visit ever since he was born. Logan was quiet and shy but yet knew what he wanted in life. He loved the Lord, loved his family, soccer, basketball, boyscouts and his video games! He had such a gentle soul. Will love you always Logan and our comfort is knowing that you are with the Lord and waiting for all of us to get there.
