Mark Tidwell, 42, of Andrews passed away Sunday November 16, 2014 at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews. Pastor Dean Williamson of Maranatha Assembly of God Church in Andrews will officiate.
Mark was born May 1, 1972 in Carlsbad, NM to Jerry and Terri Tidwell. He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1990.
He married Heather Shannon October 25, 2008 in Roswell, NM and in 2011 they moved from Roswell to Andrews.
Mark worked for Urenco in Eunice, NM. He attended Maranatha Assembly of God Church in Andrews.
Mark enjoyed hiking, camping and being outdoors. He was very passionate about his family, and was always finding ways to help people. He was always on his feet doing something, he didn't like to sit and be idle; he wanted to be outside growing something or fixing something. He loved cooking for all his friends and family. His family was his life, the air he breathed, and what he circled around. The bond he had with Heather was one you could see sparking between them; they lit a fire in each other and made each other burn brighter. This is what he lived for and what kept him going, his family. He was so very proud of each and every one of his children. He will live on through them.
Mark is survived by his wife, Heather Tidwell of Andrews; children, Brett Tidwell of Lubbock; Cpl. Ryan Tidwell, USMC, of Camp Lejeune, NC; Chelsea Tidwell of Andrews; Randy McDonald of Andrews and Vivian Tidwell of Andrews; his Mother and step-father, Terri Sessom and Fred Washington; Uncle, Jerry Sessom; Grandfather, J.W. Sessom Brothers, Paul Tidwell of Hobbs, NM; Billy Tidwell of Carlsbad, NM; sister Brenda Tidwell Johnson; and one granddaughter, Braelynn Tidwell; as well as so many other family and friends in Carlsbad.
