Steve Heinsch Obituary

Steve Heinsch, beloved husband, father and Gramps, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life of 64 years on Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at 2:00 pm in Trinity Church Chapel. A tribute of Steve's life may be found at www.memorialdesigners.net, where you may leave memories and expressions of sympathy for his family.
Steve was born on Oct. 14, 1951, to the late Rupert and Jane (Reese) Heinsch in Pasadena, CA. He grew up in Carlsbad, NM, and graduated from Texas Tech University. On June 16, 2000 he married Diane Hezmall in Lubbock. Steve was a financial planner, and in 2009 he went to work for Raymond James Financial Services. He was a member of Trinity Church where he taught Sunday school and divorce recovery classes. Steve worked in the jail ministry for twenty years and was active with Teen Challenge. He was a Tech football fan and still actively participated with his fraternity, Sigma Nu. Steve was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being on the beach in Mexico, but golf and his grandchildren were his passion.
Along with his parents, Steve is preceded in death by his brother Lee Heinsch.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Heinsch of Lubbock; his children, Beth (Lance) Brinson of Lubbock, Kim (Greg) Hodges of Weatherford, Todd S. (Valerie) Heinsch of Austin, and Rhys (Zoe) Heinsch of Dallas; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren and a sister, Leslie Heinsch of Carlsbad, NM.
