Donald Tinkham Obituary

Donald Tinkham, 91, of Loup City formerly of Sargent, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016, at the Valley County Health System Hospital in Ord.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15, 2016, at the Ord Memorial Chapel. Pastor Wayne Hasselquist will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Sargent. Visitation will be prior to the service Friday. Memorials are suggested to the Family's Choice. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Donald was born June 10, 1924, to Ray and Grace (Bruning) Tinkham.
December 23, 1944, Donald was united in marriage to Evelyn Woods. To this union three children were born, Daniel, Marilyn and Marlene. The couple made their home on a farm east of Sargent where they farmed and raised their family. Don resided on the farm most of his adult life. He moved to Ord and later to Rose Lane Assisted Living in Loup City.
Don was a farmer and when he retired he enjoyed making wood crafts. He was a member of the Sargent United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Marlene and John Frescoln of St. Louis, Mo., and Marilyn and Harold Jakob of Rockville; a daughter-in-law, Edith (Mrs. Daniel) Tinkham of Battle Creek; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Lawrence Tinkham of Imperial.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Evelyn who passed away Dec. 30, 2015; a son, Daniel Tinkham; and one brother, Raymond Tinkham.
