Donna Beck Obituary
Donna Jean Beck was born Dec. 21, 1935, near Oconto on the Devine Ranch to Carroll and Madge (Heitz) Hill. She was the youngest of three kids with two older brothers, Donnie and Duane. Her dad worked for the Devine Ranch while her mother taught school.
In the early 1940s, they moved to Redfern Table where she attended school. She later attended school in Oconto, where she graduated and met the love of her life, Duane Beck.
The couple was married March 17, 1951, at Elwood. To this union, three children were born. She spent her life caring and loving her family, always living on a farm where her greatest joy was, and taking care of the livestock. She enjoyed gardening and quilting for family members.
Donna is survived by her husband Duane; daughter Patricia Pennington of Blue Springs, Mo.; son Cody Beck of Oconto; four grandchildren Pam (Chris), Christie (Chris), Travis (Jessica) and Chaunci (Ericia); seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and daughter-in-law Cheryn Beck.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; son Gerald Beck; son-in-law Dean Pennington; and her two brothers.
Memorial services will be Monday, Feb. 12, at 11 a.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow. Burial will follow in the Broken Bow Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 11 from 1-6:30 p.m. with family greeting 5-6:30 p.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary.
Memorials are suggested to Oconto Rescue Unit or Central Plains Home Health & Hospice at Cozad.
