Keith Ferguson Obituary

Keith Lynn Ferguson, 70, passed away peacefully Aug. 5, 2025, at Premier Estates Healthcare in Kenesaw.

Born Nov. 29, 1954, in Valparaiso, Fla., Keith was the eldest child of Edwin "Don" and Doris Ferguson.

After living at Elgin Air Force Base in Florida, the Fergusons moved to Sioux City Air Force Base in Iowa, where his sisters Karen and Karla was born.

In 1961, the family settled in Ansley, Neb., where Keith began attending Ansley Public School.

In 1964, they moved to a farm north of Ansley, and Keith's youngest sister, Kelli was born.

He continued his education at Westerville Grade School through eighth grade and returned to Ansley Public School before earning his GED through Pine Ridge Job Corps in Chadron.

Keith was a hardworking and versatile individual.

He began his career at Orthman's in Lexington, and later worked as a cook at The Den Restaurant.

After relocating to Columbus, he worked as a welder at Behlen Manufacturing and continued his culinary passion at the Coffee Pot Café'.

It was in Columbus where Keith met the love of his life, Linda Cudaback. They were married June 16, 2001.

Keith had a deep love for his loyal companion, his dog Rico. He found joy in cooking, camping, fishing and working on computers.

A proud collector of Ferguson tractors, Keith also cherished time spent with family and friends.

His adventurous spirit led him to travel and explore new places; a passion he pursued until his health began to decline.

Keith was preceded in death by his mother Doris Ferguson; and his grandparents.

He is survived by his wife Linda Ferguson of Columbus; his father Don Ferguson, formerly of Ansley; his sisters - Karen Norden of Harlingen, Texas, Karla Ducker of Ansley, and Kelli Flanagan of Broken Bow; as well as many nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; and cousins.

A memorial service will be Saturday, Sept. 13, at 10 a.m. at the Christian Church in Ansley to honor Keith's life and legacy.

Lunch will follow the service.

Memorial donations can be made to the family to assist with funeral costs.

Keith will be remembered for his warmth, curiosity and the quiet strength he carried through life.

His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
