Rebecca Henshaw Obituary

Rebecca Henshaw, 66, of Charlottesville, VA passed at home on September 11, 2025. She was born March 20,1959 to James Merriwether Watson and Maybelle Collier Watson in Richmond, VA. Rebecca, or Becky as most knew her, will be remembered for her caring heart and her love of family. She loved a reason to celebrate and spending time with friends and family. Even with her health struggles, she fought to be around for the birth of her great-granddaughter, who she was able to welcome into the family in August of this year. She loved old country music, especially Willie Nelson, and enjoyed the days when she could go horseback riding. She also enjoyed her time as a devoted member of Solid Rock Church. She is preceded in death by her father James M. Watson; brother James "Termite" Watson; husband Douglas Henshaw; "bonus daughter" Amy Snow; and grandson Matthew Dwayne Shaver II. Becky is survived by her mother Maybelle Watson; son Ousby "Wade" Rogers, Jr. (Samantha); daughter Kimberly Watson (Jason); grandchildren Cierra (Michael), Ashleigh, Ayden, and Michael; great-grandchildren Kennedy, Coleton, and Treyton; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. There will be a graveside memorial service at Holly Memorial Gardens on Tuesday September 16, 2025 at 2:00pm.
