Ernest Edward "Eddie" Ellis Jr., 49, Cynthiana, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
He was born in Cynthiana, May 21, 1967 to Ernest Edward Ellis Sr. and Shirley Fralix Ellis, and was an employee of 3M Company.
He is survived by his wife, Tracey Ellis; a son, Tyler Ellis, Mt. Olivet; a step son, Justin Thomas Ritchie, Carlisle; and a step daughter, Tabitha Anne (Nathan) Gilkerson.
Graveside service will be held Saturday, Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. at Hamilton Cemetery by Bro. Michael Cannon.
Memorial contributions may be made Hospice of the Bluegrass, 1317 US Hwy 62 East, Cynthiana, KY 41031.

To Eddie's Family and Friends, I worked at 3M with Eddie for many years. I always loved his personality and he was always saying things to kid you and I have to admit, I fell for it a lot. I retired from 3M in June of 2015, so I hadn't heard anything about him for a while. I am so shocked to hear of his passing, but I will never forget this young man named Eddie, for everybody loved him and his goodness and sweetness. May you rest in peace, truly one of a kind. Ernest and Shirley,

We're so very sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. Knew he wasn't well for a while, but no matter what, no one is ever ready to give up their loved one.

Just isn't right for a parent to outlive their child. Will always remember Eddie by his smile and joking ways.
