Joseph Huff Obituary

On Wednesday, July 7, 2021, Joseph Lawson Huff, loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away at the age of 83 at Harrison Memorial Hospital. Joe was born on Oct. 8, 1937 in Cynthiana, KY.
He spent his early life in Berry, Ky. Joe proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1959-1963 when he was honorably discharged. He spent many years working at NCR, Equipment Services, and US Bank Source until he retired at the age of 62 as the vice president. He was a member of the Berry Christian Church, a tournament champion at horseshoes, and enjoyed his retirement traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Joe was known for his debonair presence, witty demeanor, patriotism, and contagious smile. He was admired and loved by those who had the privilege to know him.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Pauline Anness Huff and a sister, Jan Vargas.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Whitaker Huff, his son Adam Huff of New Mexico; his stepchildren, Mitch (Angie) Mattox, Sheila Mattox, Bobby Wells; three grandchildren, Kaleb Mattox, Fayth (Isaac) Bowman, Michael Mattox; his brother-in-law Sam Vargas of El Paso, TX; and his nephew Randy Walters of El Paso, TX.
No services are being planned. Burial will take place in Pythian Grove Cemetery.
