Joyce Corpuz Obituary
She was born in Unalaska, Alaska on March 1, 1954. She was a self-employed caregiver, and was a certified nurse's aide.
Joyce Marie was an avid animal lover; especially horses and dogs. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, caregiving, going for long drives and walks on the beach with her 3 boxers; hoshi, buttons, and Boku. Joyce had the special abilities in life to find the best in everyone while making people smile and laugh. She is very much loved and will be missed by all.
Joyce enjoyed photography, painting, crocheting, and beach combing. She is survived by her husband, Stephen Douglas Corpuz; daughter, Rose Marie McCollum; son, Lance Stoltz, brothers, Leonard Steve Hupe and Martin Andrew Hupe; and sisters, Arleen Linda Moreno and Valerie Ann Hupe. Joyce is preceded in death by her mother, Vassa Lekanoff Roberts.
A service will be held at Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel, 737 E Street, Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 1 p.m. Joyce will be laid to rest at Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
Arrangements are with Janssen Funeral Homes.
