Raymond Hatfield Obituary

Raymond Ellis Hatfield, 90, Cynthiana, Ky., died Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Robertson County, Ky., April 7, 1924, to the late Joseph and Louisa Workman Hatfield. He was a farmer, a retired Kawneer employee and an honorably discharged Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Union Baptist Church and Frankfort Post VFW, and had a great love for music, playing guitar, mandolin and banjo.
His wife, Doris Jane Rankin Hatfield and several brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
Survivors include: one daughter, Ramona Sue Hatfield (Nolan) Craig; four sons, Ronald Ray (Debbie) Hatfield, Rankin Ellis (Mary) Hatfield, Royce Kent (Rhonda) Hatfield and Robert Bradley (Kathy) Hatfield; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday, July 14 at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home by the Rev. Arnold Kiser. Burial with Military Honors followed in Battle Grove Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Union Baptist Church.
