Violet Elizabeth Renaker

1923 - 2021

Violet Elizabeth Chamberlin Renaker, 98, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2021 at Cedar Ridge Health Campus. She was born Jan. 23, 1923 in Harrison County to the late Leland P. and Lena Elizabeth Roberts Chamberlin.
She was a retired bank teller for Harrison Deposit Bank and member of the Cynthiana Baptist Church. Violet had a diverse background in her working life, having worked as a photographer for Olan Mills, worked the makeup counter at McAvoy's, waitressed and babysat. She enjoyed reading, quilting and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters, Lois Fay Wiglesworth and Betty Gayle (Lewis) Schwartz; a sister, Neva Lanning; two grandchildren, Edward Schwartz and Cary (Michael) Coppage; a grandson-in-law, Wally Hunsinger; and eight great-grandchildren, Joseph C. Slade, Preston Mullins, Cassidy Mullins, Zachary Coppage, Aubrey Haralu, Alaina Coppage, Hailey Hunsinger and Anna Hunsinger; along with several nieces and nephews.
Also preceding her in death were a brother, Rev. Ray Chamberlin, a dear granddaughter, Elizabeth Hunsinger, and a beloved great-grandson, Justin C. Slade.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22 at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home by the Rev. John Chamberlin, Edward Schwartz and the Rev. Dale Kendrick. Burial will follow in Battle Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Friday until the time of service.
Casketbearers are Michael Coppage, Zachary Coppage, Cassidy Mullins, Preston Mullins, Edward Schwartz and Joseph C. Slade.
Honorary bearers are Alaina Coppage, Madison Gibson, Aubrey Haralu, Sam Haralu, Anna Hunsinger, Hailey Hunsinger, Wally Hunsinger and Logan Yarnell.
