Born: July 12, 1945
Died: April 29, 2025
Betty L. Alsup, 79, of DeKalb, IL, passed away peacefully to be with God on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. She was born July 12, 1945, in Belvidere, the daughter of Berton and Mary (Podshedly) Alsup. Betty attended Genoa-Kingston schools, and later worked as an assembler at Turner Brass in Sycamore.
Betty is survived by one daughter, Stacey Alsup of DeKalb; one sister, Dorothy Wirth of Belvidere; one brother, Bert Alsup of Kingston; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Albert, Raymond, Joe, Charles, Jim; and sisters, Mary, Josephine and JoAnn; nieces, Kathy, Sally, Brenda; and nephew, Chris.
The family would like to thank Compassus Home Health Care for their amazing care and support, especially to Tara.
A visitation will be held Saturday, May 3 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore. IL 60178. The service will begin at 12:00 pm. Burial will be held at Shattucks Grove Cemetery in Belvidere.
