I am so thankful to the Lord for sending Betty into my life. We were both members at Trinity Lutheran Church. Betty was a powerful and blessed prayer warrior and sister in Christ. She lived her faith every day and shared it freely. She blessed so many people and encouraged them in their faith walk. God´s peace and love be with all of her family and friends.

What a precious gift Betty was to everyone who knew her. She freely shared the love of Jesus and was so gentle and kind and such a good listener. I'll always remember her beautiful smile and tender and sweet spirit. I'm praying for God to comfort her family as they prepare to celebrate her life and the beautiful lady she was.

Thank you Lord for giving us Betty and for holding the family close in the coming days. I'm sure there is quite the celebration in heaven and surely Betty is dancing in heaven on streets of gold after being reunited with all those who went before her.

I met Betty at Trinity Lutheran in Genoa. I soon learned that she was a strong believer in our Lord Jesus Christ and would share her beliefs with anyone who would be open to listening. As we grew as friends, sharing our life stories, she also shared with me her love for the Lord. She taught me so much about God and his Son Jesus Christ. Because of her, I have a closer walk with God. Thank you, Betty!
So, when the Lord calls me home, I know I will be seeing Betty waiting for me at the Pearly Gates!

2 Timothy 4:7 (Betty) I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith.

To the Hawkins family: You are in my prayers for God's comfort, peace and rest during these times of grief. Cherish the joyful memories and celebrate her life. God Bless you all!

Sending my heartfelt condolences to Joy and family. I worked with Joy a while back at DeKalb County and she would often talk fondly about her mom.

I first met Betty at Trinity Lutheran Church, while attending the Bible study prior to Sunday service. That morning after the Bible study, Betty approached me and asked if she could pray over me, and as I was preparing to travel to Daytona's to do motorcycle ministry. I excepted most readily, and she proceeded to ask me if she could lay hands on me, and if I would come into the classroom once again. There began our friendship. On my travels on the way to Daytona, I would often look for her and found that I I would be worshiping right behind her, both her arms and my arms raised, praising the Lord. A few years back, I inquired about Betty and Pastor told me where she was stayed at a senior assisted living. I was blessed to be able to visit with her with my wife. The first visit she stated that she was not sure if she would see me on this side of eternity! I would visit her on the way to and from Daytona. I was sad to hear of her passing, but I am glad my sister is that finally home with her new body with her Lord and Savior and loved ones. I was making plans to visit her with my wife when we heard the news last week. I will miss her company, her loving, encouraging words and her prayers for both my self, my wife and my ministry. We will hold her family up in prayer through these times.

I have a heart of sadness and joy mixed together...Aunt Betty passed the same day my oldest granddaughter was married. I feel so bad that I wasn't able to see her one more time. Even though we hurt right now, we know where she is. Absent from the body, present with the Lord. We will all miss her so much. My heart goes out to all of you. Praying for peace and comfort for your entire family as you grieve. Blessings and love to all.
