Dorothy Capehart Obituary
Dorothy Lorraine Capehart ( Jensen ) age 91, of DeKalb passed away quietly in the early morning hours of Wednesday, September 1, 2021.
She was born June 3, 1930 in DeKalb to proud and loving parents, Bruce and Ila (Hammett) Jensen.
She is survived by three sons Larry Hayes, Gary (Karen) Hayes, and Roger (Cindy) Hayes. Seven Grandchildren and two Great Grandchildren. Her three sisters, Donna (Lowell) Rand, Janet (Ron) Setchell and Bonnie (Don) Hudson.
She was preceded in death by her husband's H. William Capehart and Donald G. Silverman.
Dorothy was employed as a Dental Asst. for 9 years and a Phlebotomist at Kishwaukee Hospital for 20 years.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb, with the Rev. Alan McNamara of First Congregational United Church of Christ Church officiating. Interment of cremated remains will be held at a later date at Fairview Park Cemetery in DeKalb.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Anderson Funeral Home, 2011 South Fourth Street, DeKalb, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northwestern Kishwaukee Hospital in her memory.
