ISABEL HERNANDEZ Obituary
Born Aug. 24, 1957, in Mexico, the daughter of Jesus Rayos Agilar and Maria Isabel Hernandez Chaparro, she married Efrain C. Marrufo in 1989 in Mexico.
She was a housekeeper at Kishwaukee Community Hospital for more than 15 years and was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.
She is survived by her children, Efrain (Maibel Quinter) Marrufo of DeKalb, Juan (Kathy Colpen) Marrufo of Mexico and Luz (Eduardo Trujillo) Marrufo of DeKalb; 10 grandchildren; brothers, Tiofilo, Eugenio, Emilio and Alfredo; sisters, Rosa, Manuela, Micaela, Esperanza and Socoro; and many, many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Efrain; infant twins; parents; and sisters, Rosario and Jesusita.
The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at Anderson Funeral Home, DeKalb, with Brother Luis Servantez officiating. Cremation will follow services. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, and from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Anderson Funeral Home, DeKalb.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Isabel R. Hernandez Memorial Fund, in care of Anderson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 605, 2011 S. Fourth St., DeKalb, IL 60115.

I worked at the hospital at the same time as Isabel and remember that she would brighten my day when I would see her. I am sorry to hear this; she was friendly and cheerful and I looked forward to see her.

I will always remember for her kindness to me when I needed someone. I was a stranger to her, but that did not stop her from helping. I know also it was God putting her there for me. May her soul rest in peace with our Heavenly Father.
