Tom and I will be pleased to honor James's wishes by making a donation to St. Jude's. What a generous and worthy idea to extend a thoughtful legacy.
Peace.

Tom and I knew James through our longtime friendship with Dorothea. We recognized him as a bright and supportive partner to her who could give her a "run for her money". We knew James as a guy who had the gift of gab whilst being a good listener. He never failed to ask how we were doing no matter the cause of our meeting. Tom did many handyman jobs for James and Dorothea over the years, and they never failed to offer a cup of coffee and time to catch up on news of the community.
We somehow never knew about his short stories and novel. We'll be looking for those to enjoy. Thanks, James, for your good writing skills and participation in enriching the local community. Rest in Peace.

James was a dedicated husband and friend to his wife , Dorothea Bilder. After her passing 3 years ago, I kept in touch with James over the phone in good conversation and fellowship, as I tried to be as supportive as possible. He was a strong Christian believer and expressed his desire to be with his wife again in heaven. God bless his soul and may he rest in peace. It was an honor to know you, James.
