Died: July 18, 2024
Joanne L. Cooper, 82, of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024, at her home.
She was born June 24, 1942, in Waukegan, Illinois, the daughter of Lester and Dorothy (Shorman) Baker. Joanne married the love of her life David A. Cooper on September 30, 1961, at the Methodist Church in Waukegan, Illinois.
Joanne was a graduate of Waukegan Township High School. She loved the Lord with her whole heart, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a good listener and always had a fun sense of humor, and a good laugh.
She is survived by her daughter Cherie (Gaylen) Parker; her granddaughter Cortney Parker; her sister Yvonne Baker of Crystal Lake
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband David; her son Paul Cooper; her grandson Colton Parker; her brothers Dick and Roger, and her parents.
A private Memorial Service will be held at Foursquare Church, DeKalb with Pastor Denny Campbell, officiating. Private interment of cremated remains will be at Fairmont Cemetery in Polo, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Cooper Family in care of Anderson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 605, 2011 South Fourth Street, DeKalb, IL 60115.
