Luke Donald Bish, age 22, of Hinckley IL, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 29, 2018.

Luke was born on February 16, 1996 in DeKalb IL, the son of Brent and Carol (White) Bish. He loved life and his family but ultimately lost his battle with depression. Luke's struggle with depression gave him the desire to help others in need. He was always willing to listen to a friend or to share what he had learned from therapy. He would say, "I know I don't always practice what I preach" but if he could help or support someone else struggling, he would do so. He knew that depression is a disease most people do not understand. He had no choice in having this disease and only he knew the daily struggle he faced. At age 3, Luke was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease which caused a lifelong challenge. He was always a fighter and dreamed of entering into the medical field someday.

Luke was a 2014 graduate of Hinckley-Big Rock High School, Hinckley, IL. He attended Waubonsee Community College and the University of Iowa. Luke was currently employed and took great pride in his role as a groundskeeper at the Morris Country Club where he worked with his future brother-in-law, Craig. He also worked alongside his Dad and loved their time together. He had a love of music and a vast playlist he enjoyed. Attending performances of his favorite musicians was a source of great happiness. The Chicago Bears were Luke's favorite team and he loved watching the games with his Dad. Luke also had a great love of nature, hunting, fishing, flying, traveling on Florida vacations and spending time at the family cabin.

Luke was a loving son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He is survived by his parents, Brent and Carol Bish of Hinckley, IL; his siblings, Matthew (Jessica) Bish of Hinckley, IL, Jessica (Steve) Tosaw of Sandwich, IL and Jennifer Bish (fianc , Craig Watson) of Yorkville, IL; his nephew, Hawk Tosaw; and nieces, Aubrey Tosaw and Clara Bish (arriving in March 2019); his grandparents, Sandy Bish of Oswego, IL and Donald and Jean White of Big Rock, IL; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was proceeded in death by his grandfather, Roger Bish; and his beloved family dog, Bruiser.

A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Nash-Nelson Memorial Chapel, 141 North Maple Street in Hinckley, IL with Pastor Tim Badal officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.

Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until the Hour of Service on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Funeral Home in Hinckley, IL. Luke loved a good hoodie and a pair of Jeans so the family requests to come casual.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Mayo Clinic c/o The Clear View Mental Health Program or Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America in Luke's name.
