Patricia Estes Obituary

Patricia Estes ROCK HILL Mrs. Patricia R. Estes, 69, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at Piedmont Medical Center. A graveside service will be 11am on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at Forest Hills Cemetery with Father Paul Nguyen officiating. Born in Austin, Texas, Mrs. Estes was a daughter of the late Thomas Rodgers and the late Kathryn McGrath Emery. She was a retired realtor, on the board of the Children's Theatre in Nashville, Tenn. and was a member of the Women's Club in Nashville and Rock Hill. She was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed cooking, reading and Bridge Club. Surviving are her husband, Dr. T. Horace Estes; her sons, Eric Estes of Mooresville, NC, Greg Estes and his wife, Christine of Orchard Park, N.Y. and Sean Estes and his wife, Kelly of Rock Hill; her brother, John Emery of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; her sister, Susan Emery of Jacksonville, Fla. and seven grandchildren, Bryce, Hayden, Emery, Beckett, Makenna, Collin and Zachary. The family will receive friends from 4-5:30pm on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Estes' name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 10000 Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908. Condolences may be made at www.greenefuneralhome.net.

I met Patti at the Children's Theatre and worked and laughed with her several years. Then I lost contact with her when the family moved. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
