RAYMOND OLSEN Obituary

Raymond Stanley Olsen, 62, of Reeds Spring, Mo., formerly of Sycamore, Ill., died Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, at his home.
Born April 17, 1946, in Aurora, he was the son of Oliver S. and Lillian (Mensing) Olsen. He married Georgia Berg on April 29, 1967.
Raymond was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Vietnam Era. He owned and operated a heating and air conditioning company from 1977 until 1994. Then he and his wife owned and operated a resort on Table Rock Lake, Mo.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia; one son, Ronald Olsen of McHenry; one daughter, Roxane (Michael) Benvenuti of St. Charles; three grandchildren, Brendan and Devin Benvenuti and Alexia Olsen; one brother, Ivan Olsen of Sycamore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
A private graveside service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 28, at River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory in Sycamore, with military rites at 7 p.m.

I can not tell you how truly sorry I am for your loss. The times Andy and I had with Uncle Ray were wonderful. He was my Jack Daniels buddy and I will miss him very much. You are ALL in my heart, my thoughts and my prayers. He may have left you for now, but he is not alone.
