Died: May 19, 2024 in Hampshire, IL
Richard C. Stading, 77, of Hampshire, passed away at home, surrounded by his family on May 19, 2024.
He was born Mar. 5, 1947, in Elgin, the son of Milton and Eleanor (Rose) Stading. He married Diane C. Engel on Aug. 23, 1969, in Hampshire. Richard was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus in Genoa, Council #14294.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Diane; his children, Amy Mathey, Brian (Lori) Stading, Nicole Stading fiancé (Jay Roidl) and Shelly (James) Garrett; and his ten grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Nicole Marie Stading; his granddaughter, Alexandra Mathey; his parents; and brothers, James and Russell.
Services will be held on Friday, May 31st at 10:30 AM at St. Catherine Catholic Church of Genoa, 340 S. Stott St, Genoa, IL 60135.
Visitation will be on Thursday, May 30th from 4-8 PM at Fredrick Funeral Home, 284 Park St. in Hampshire, IL.
