Wayne Risvold Obituary

Died: Oct. 1, 2015
Wayne Roy Risvold, age 71, died peacefully at the Hospice Home of Hope, Fond du Lac, WI, on Thursday, October 1st, 2015. He fought cancer bravely and will be deeply missed by family and friends.
He was born in Aurora, IL August 5, 1944, to Gloria Edith Dalner and Roy Truman Risvold. Wayne lived in Aurora, Montgomery, and Geneva, IL prior to relocating to Fond du Lac, WI in 2001. He received a bachelor's degree from Aurora College, Aurora, IL and enjoyed several careers including commercial roofing foreman and insurance sales with AFLAC in Fond du Lac.
Wayne was a caring and loving father, husband and friend with a lively, curious intellect. He pursued many interests including building the "bridge house" in Geneva, IL and living the lake life on Lake Winnebago in Fond du Lac. He was active in the Fond du Lac Business Builders, Winnebago Lakes Council and Coast Guard Auxilliary.
Wayne is survived by wife, Celinda (Hewitt) Risvold; daughter, Kristina Risvold; step sons, Jeremy and Christopher Shipley; grandson, Connor Shipley; granddaughter, Emma Shipley; brother, Robert Randerson; sister, Beth Reissenweber; nieces; nephews and former wife, Sandra Risvold.
A private celebration of Wayne's life will take place in Illinois and internment in Rochester, Wisconsin.
The family would like to thank Agnesian Hospice Home of Hope for their excellent and compassionate care.
