William Schulze Obituary

William H. Schulze
Born: March 27, 1949
Died: June 22, 2024
William H. Schulze, 75, of Elburn, IL, passed away on June 22, 2024. He was born on March 27, 1949 to Harold and Lydia Schulze in Elmhurst, IL.
Bill graduated from Fenton High School in Bensenville before attending Northern Illinois University and then DePaul where he earned his MBA. Bill began his accounting career at Thor Power Tool in Aurora and then transferred to Stewart-Warner in Chicago. He then went on to become the Assistant Controller at Central Dupage Hospital where he worked for 28 years until his retirement.
Bill grew up on a farm in Wood Dale, and that time of his life never left his heart. This led to one of his post retirement hobbies of working his own farmette in Elburn, volunteering at the Dickson-Murst Farm in Montgomery and performing the duties of treasurer with the International Harvester Collectors Club Chapter 2 based in Northern Illinois. In addition to his love of farming, he had a love of music. He played clarinet with the Kishwaukee Concert Band in Dekalb, IL of which he was also the treasurer. Grandpa Bill was also often spotted at his grandchildren's activities.
Bill is survived by his spouse: Sharon Schulze of Elburn; his children: Veronica (Francis) Jarosz, Charles (Cheryl) Schulze and Brian (Emily) Schulze; siblings: Carol (Russel) Heck and Gerald (Debra) Schulze; his grandchildren: Christie, Tracey, Jesse, Tami, Alexis, Brady, Emma and Brennan; his great-grandchildren: Bradley, Logan, Alara, Ellie and Austin; and several nieces and nephews.
William is preceded in death by his parents and his son: William Jr.
Visitation will begin at 9 am with funeral services to follow at 12 pm on Saturday, July 27th, 2024 at The Healy Chapel, 370 Division Drive, Sugar Grove, IL 60554. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Bill's memory to the Kishwaukee Concert Band or the International Harvester Collectors Club Chapter 2.

I had the privilege and pleasure to work with Bill for many years at CDH. Because of his finance acumen CDH was able to transform itself into the Regional Medical Center it is today. He was so welcoming and compassionate to everyone. When CDH developed its slogan " always thinking always caring"
No one exemplified this more than Bill.
When I see him again someday I know he will say " Hey young man you made it !"
Until I see you again Bill.
