Died: October 25, 2025 in Bourbonnais, IL
Leah R. Denault, age 78, of Bourbonnais, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025 at her home. She was born November 30, 1946 in Kankakee, the daughter of Thomas & Mary McLaren Gresham. She married Alex Denault on February 1, 1969. He preceded her in death on May 27, 2016. Leah was a homemaker. She enjoyed scrapbooking, drawing, painting, and family vacations. She was an avid shopper. Leah loved spending time with her family – especially her grandchildren. She was a parishioner of Maternity B.V.M. Catholic Church in Bourbonnais. Surviving are one son, Ron & Dawn Denault of Limestone; two daughters, Amy & Greg Gibson of Kankakee and Lisa & Jeff Godin of Bourbonnais; three sisters, Sherrill Howard of Cobden, Patricia Sabouri of Portland, OR and Kimberly Sektnan of Portland, OR; seven grandchildren, Sydney Rae & Tyler Bailey, Hailey Martinez, Reed Denault, Dane Denault, Addison Godin, Brennan Denault, and Avery Godin; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Leah is preceded in death by her parents. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the 10:30 a.m. memorial Mass on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Maternity B.V.M. Catholic Church in Bourbonnais. Inurnment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum in Bourbonnais. Memorials may be made to Uplifted Care. Arrangements by Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais.
