Sandra "Sandy" Graveline

Sandra "Sandy" Graveline, age 70, of Bourbonnais, IL, entered heaven on June 25, 2025 in Kankakee, surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 7, 1954 in Evansville, IN, and is the daughter of Deloise Mitchell Marsh.

Sandy was a vibrant and joyful presence in the lives of all who knew her. Known for her light-hearted spirit and infectious laughter, she was truly the life of every party. She cherished time spent with her friends and family and adored her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and pride.

An avid golfer and boating enthusiast, Sandy loved being outdoors and embracing life's simple pleasures. She was a devoted fan of the Chicago Cubs and rarely missed a game. Her beloved dog, Sam, was her constant companion and a source of great comfort and happiness.

Sandra's warmth, humor, and generous heart left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her memory will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Surviving are her husband, Darryl Winter of Bourbonnais; her children, Susie Shepherd of Pompano Beach, FL, Jay (Christy) Smith of Bourbonnais, and Jamie (Keith) Nichols of Boynton Beach, FL. Sandy was a very proud "G-Ma" of four grandchildren: Toby Schriefer, Bristol Schriefer, Kate Nichols, and Liam Nichols.

Sandy is survived by four sisters, Cheryl (Dave) Olszewski, Marvilene (Jeff) Quigley, Angie (Congressman Don) Bacon, and Robin (Mike) Grandpre. Sandy is preceded in death by her mother.

A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 PM-4:00 PM on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home in Kankakee.
