Shirlee Marcotte Obituary

Shirlee A. Marcotte, age 79, of Grant Park, IL, died on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Munster Community Hospital in Munster, IN.

She was born on June 17, 1946 in Chicago Heights, IL, the daughter of A. George and Mildred M. Kuhn Rosenbrock.

Shirlee married Ambrose Marcotte on July 10, 1965 in Petersburg, IL. He survives.

Survived by her husband, Ambrose Marcotte of Grant Park, IL, one son and daughter-in-law: Timothy and Traci Marcotte of Momence, IL, and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother; Larry Rosenbrock.

Shirlee was a teacher's aide for many years at Grant Park Grade School and worked in child care at the First Baptist Church Day Care in Momence.

She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Beecher, IL.

Shirlee enjoyed cooking, shopping on Pinterest and sitting under the tree with her dog.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 9am until 11am followed by memorial services at St. John's United Church of Christ, 536 E. Corning, Beecher, IL. Clergy: Rev. Dan Waterman
