Dear Sheri and family:

My sincere condolences on the loss of your dad, he was one of the nicest persons I knew. I worked with your dad at Wisconsin Steel for many years and always remember the smile he had on his face. We were not in town when your mom Josie passed away she and your dad were cut from the same mould – the sweetest couple that God put together. I grew up in South Deering and can remember when your mom’s family lived on Calhoun Avenue. I can’t remember the name of the Italian family that owned the building your Aunt Ann will be able to tell you – I think you take after the Dasovich side of the family.

Our sincerest condolences to the family. To let you know who we are, his sister Wilma was my aunt and married to my uncle, Casey Wisniewski.

To the memory of the GREAT AL MONOCCHIO - Al was one of the best jazz guitarist's I have ever had the honor to work with. I will always remember those Thursday nights playing at Sanfratello's and the Friday nights at the Elks of Hobart, Indiana ! My thoughts and prayers go out to his son and daughter Wayne and Sherri, and ofcourse to our very good friend "Dorothy". Al was truly an inspiration and will be remembered always as one of the good guys. Love, the Rossi Family - Frank, Sharon , Vince and Nina. One more thing - the fact that Al and I share the same birthday - June 1st - will insure his memory will go on forever!

What a great loss. Al sat in and played many times when I sang with Frank Rossi. What a great jazz guitarist - and one of the sweetest men you'll ever meet! Proud of ax and LOVED to play! I know he's up there playing with the greats, now! My thoughts and prayers are with all of Al's family and especially to my friend Dorothy.
