Any was the oldest BEST brother any family of 11 kids could ever have. I hung out at his house (with my best friend, Andy's sister, Diane) and Andy would always joke around with me. I remember when I was in 5th grade and Diane & I had our quartly arguement and did not talk for days...he came up to me and told me we were just silly and to call each other. This happened often and when we called each other NOTHING was ever said about the arguement and we just started talking again.... in many/most cases due to Andy...anyway...Diane & I continue to be great friends and have NEVER missed a B-day call.

OMG, did you know that today is exactly 6 months since? That's like, a whole half year. That went by really quickly. I can't believe he's been gone that long!
...Also, today is the 7th grade NJHS induction, and I get a medal tonight to wear at Graduation.

Mr. Piet you were a great man and will truely be missed by many. You didnt know me that well, but I do know your daughter and know how deeply this has affected her. I know how your family feels, and I can never be sorry enough that this has happened to your family.

When I last talked to ua we were mostly talking about being parents. He told me in his past he had always wanted to be remembered as this great photographer, but that now he just wanted to be remembered as "Dad".

he as a great gye.all my antes and uncles will probly try and haep us as much as they can.ijt wis going to leave a big hole in my heart whaen he was in the hostple.and i was really sad when i found out my dad was dining.i was crying like mad.it is so sad right now for me to tipe ;

No words can convey the sadness my famiy and I feel for you. Andy is and always will be a wonderfully beautiful man who will live on in your hearts and many others forever. I will certainly miss his political conversations and Dunkin Donuts coffee. As you probably know, his family was his passion, heart and soul. My family and I are here for you, and our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Piet family,
I knew Andy from the doctor's office. He was always smiling when he came in. I admired him for the strength he had through his illness. He was truely a wonderful man. I will miss the brief chats I had with him when he came in for his appointments. You are all in my prayers. God bless you all and may you take comfort in knowing that you now have an angel in Heaven watching over you (camera in hand I am sure.)
