Bernice M. Sowa

Bernice M. (Trent) Sowa, 88, a resident of Belen, N.M. Formally of Florida and Chicago, passed away July 8, 2008. Bernice worked for Wrigley Gum Corp in Chicago. Moved to Florida where she retired from Motorola Co. as an inspector, after many years of outstanding service. She moved to New Mexico in 1991 where she became the manager of the Precidio Villa Apts for 17 years, retired in 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Sowa, parents Leslie and Bertha (Watkins) Trent and two brothers Nelson and Leslie Trent Jr. Bernice is survived by her two loving sisters Effie Hill of Oak Lawn, IL and Lorraine Trent of Albuquerque. One niece Jeanne Kooi and husband John of Orland Park, IL. One great niece Julie Schackle and husband Paul and one great nephew John Kooi Jr. She is also survived by one great, great niece and one great-great nephew. Her "Guardian Angel" and devoted nurse Linda Fellion. A visitation was held in Belen, New Mexico on July 14, 2008. Interment will be held at the Evergreen Park Cemetery on July 23, 2008 at 11:00 a.m.
