I am so sorry I couldn't make the memorial service. Bess taught me two wonderful lessons I will never forget - one was how to accept gifts graciously and the other was when we video-taped a party at the store. Always check that you comb the back of your hair as neatly as the front! I think of her every morning when I am brushing my hair! And I think of both of you often because of your generosity to others, your beautiful jest for life, and your precious sense of humor! I feel greatly blessed to have known Bess and you are also a treasure Wendy! Her beauty lives on in you.

I remember when she first opened her shop in the Flossmoor train station -- then expanding tenfold to the shop in Homewood -- then to Orland. Everyone that knew Bess -- loved her! One thing that I'll always remember is her saying, "Guess what? I'm going to college!" She was so proud of that. A true icon in the jewelry industry -- we'll miss you Bess! Love from ...

Bess was a true gem and a real classy lady. She always enjoyed hearing about my adventures in the computer forensic field and I will truly miss not being able to continue to share things with her. I will never forget her laugh, her smile and that little twinkle in her eye.

God bless....

I'll never forget helping her study for her biology exam and her describing the circulatory system like a trucking highway. I thought that was so original and funny! I always looked forward to the stories she would sometimes tell at work. I will miss you Bess.
