Charles Sneyd Obituary

Charles M. Sneyd, 83, resident of Calumet Park, IL for 45 years formerly of Chicago, IL for 38 years passed away Thursday, September 14, 2006 in Crestwood, IL. Charles leaves his beloved wife M. Ruth (nee Franco) Sneyd to cherish his fond memories along with several in-laws, numerous loving and devoted nieces, nephews and friends. Charles was preceded in death by his caring parents; William and Nellie Sneyd, brothers; Herbert, William and Lee Sneyd and many dear in-laws. Mr. Sneyd was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Blue Island, IL and the Midwest Chapter of Merchant Marines. Charles was a Merchant Marine having retired after 25 proud years of dedicated and faithful service. Family will meet with friends and neighbors on Monday, September 18, 2006 from 1 pm until time of service at 3 pm at Cedar Park Funeral Home 12540 S. Halsted, Calumet Park, IL 708-388-8605 with Rev. Bill Oxner officiating. Interment Private Cedar Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Mr. Sneyd's family graciously requests donations in loving memory of Charles be made to the American Cancer Society. Services entrusted to Peggy J. Thompson, Funeral Director states of IL and IN.
