Clarence Bach Obituary

Clarence H. "Sonny" Bach, 72, died of cancer on March 29, of Frankfort, formerly of Harwood Heights and Chicago. Beloved husband for 48 years to Barbara Ann (nee Knippen); loving father of Angela (Ronald) Burman, Jon (Alexis) Bach, Clarice (Joseph) Marinello, proud grandfather of Joshua, Taylor, Samuel, Max, Zackari and Joseph. Son of the late Clarence and Margaret Bach, brother of Lucille (Norb) Johann and the late Margaret (Tony) Sansone. Caring uncle to many nieces and nephews. Doting owner of Blackie, his pet great dane and lover of many other types of animals. He served in the US Army in Korea, 1956 (Sharp Shooter and Lineman). He was a member of the IBEW Local #9 for 45 years and also the Fraternal Order of Moose. He enjoyed his retirement, as he and Barbara traveled the world over the past decade. In lieu of a funeral, a memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday April 18th at All Saints Lutheran Church, 13350 LaGrange Road, Orland Park, IL 60462. For info call: 815-806-2225

Dear "Basha" & family....We are so very sorry for your loss. We will always remember our Red Lobster dinners & looking at our pictures from trips we both had taken. We really enjoyed our 50th Schurz reunion even if Sonny was from our rival Lane Tech. Sonny will truly be missed.

Dear Aunt Babs, and my cousins, I am so very sorry for your loss! I know Uncle Sonny is in better place, even if he will miss the fine cooking and baking of my fairy godmother. When I was a little girl of 6yrs old, Aunt Babs helped me make my very first cherry pie from a tree inthe Harwood Hts. home. Uncle Sonny came home, and there were 2 pies, my child version and Aunt Babs perfect one!! He proceeded to eat the entire pie and I cried because I didn't even get to taste it!!! Aunt Babs assured me that though they , the pies, did not look the same, that they tasted the same! I think that Uncle Sonny is in heaven with my whole cherry pie inside him and it makes me smile!!
I have a favorite necklace I have been wearing that Uncle Sonny made for me. He liked diving and rocks and tumbling them, and I liked rocks too! He made me a heart shaped stone, "snowflake obsidian", necklace and gave it to me with a note that said, "To a girl who is all heart!" I see him with a pile of kitty cats all over him, purring...he did so much love animals!!! Love to all your families and strength to you, Aunt Babs. Wish I was there to hug you all!!!! Cindy

I'll never forget going to the farm with my family as a kid. We'd hang out outside for a couple of hours, shoot our bb guns, then we'd end the day hanging out with Uncle Sonny and Aunt Babs, eating pie and playing with the dogs and cats. To this day, my brother and cousins still go to the farm every couple of months to phesant hunt. Uncle Sonny, you will be greatly missed.
